JAX0002 - 427 bodywork. Well afer 0001, I started to really get into the lines. I said if its a 427 body, then it has to have a 427FE series engine in it. So I built a 390FE with two Holley 600's up top that fit the part. The 390FE has the same stroke as the 427 with a smaller bore. I had the motor redone, ported the heads, gasket matched the runners, and selected a hot cam. Special interior was done to set off the black and white theme. Aluminum pannels in the engine bay, trunk, and wheel wells. Motor made lots of torque and sat and idled @950rpm. A vintage air heater was installed for the cool fall mornings. The roll bar on this car was identical to a real one. Installed behind the seat down to the frame. I finished the car and a month later Tom Dellamarva took it home. Tom has a shop in upstate Penna. that specializes in all restoration phases. I'd have to say this was the prettiest one...Midnight blue, two coats of clear, buffed to a diamond...
